Warsaw

December, 2016

Nothing much to say about Warsaw, I feel that 11 hour layover in the winter time doesn’t do it justice. I ended up taking a train to a station in the city centre, 40 minute walk to Old Town which was my original destination. The walk was cold, but bearable as I passed by clothing shops, and cafes. Once you enter the Old City, it’s a completely different environment compared to the modern Warsaw.

There was a Christmas Market at the main square, with lots of shops to buy Christmas Souvenirs. I also stopped by a restaurant that served delicious meat pirogies.

11 hours later, I don’t feel like I fully got a sense of this city, which is why I’d love to come back in the summer time for more than a day and see what Warsaw is all about!
